A filmed portrait of Johnny playing and singing the same song on his guitar in various locations. The song is not recorded, the footage is silent. Shot on tungsten film to give it cold blue aesthetic. The film is invasive of Johnny’s personal space and privacy; the imagery is very intimate and close up and provides a fairly unique representation of the musician in opposition/contrast to music video conventions. In its intimacy the film implicates and represents my own relationship with Johnny.
